DAVID KABANJE, MA, Ed.S
David has worked with teens and families in educational and clerical settings for seven years. As a teacher and mental health coach, he is passionate about bridging the gap between brokenness and healing. David has a graduate certificate in pastoral counseling and a postgraduate degree in community care and counseling with an emphasis in traumatology from Liberty University.
His education and occupational experience have provided opportunities to foster hope in families and young adults that struggle with trauma, depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. He specializes in Prolonged Exposure (PE), a behavioral therapy that helps individuals gradually process their trauma-related memories and psychological first aid. David’s approach to coaching is centered on unconditional positive regard and empathy. He is motivated by the hope that his clients will achieve optimal health and find joy in their life journey.
At the age of seven, David and his family immigrated from Zambia. He has lived in Michigan, Alabama, California, and Washington State. Each location and diverse experience have helped David form an inclusive mindset.
He lives in Nebraska with his beautiful wife and two dogs, Bailey (Border Collie Black Labrador Mix) and Captain (German Shepherd Mix). Bailey is in the process of becoming a therapy dog, so David is excited to bring her with him on home visits to love on families. David enjoys spending quality time with his wife in nature.
